Dewsweepers Golf School has partnered with Rock Creek to provide top-level golf instruction programs to help golfers improve their game and make it more enjoyable:

 

Get Golf Ready: The Get Golf Ready Program is a 5-week clinic that will cover all aspects of the game, including Full Swing & Short Game.

Ladies Clinics: Sessions designed to help ladies get more length and lower their scores.

Short Game Workshops: Learn the art of scoring with these 2-hour workshops designed to teach you skills around the green.

Introductory Junior Camp, ages 7 – 15
Learn the proper fundamentals so that your junior golfer has a jump start on developing their playing skills.

Junior Intermediate Clinic 
Introduces juniors to the game as well as helps refine the skills of those who have had some exposure to the game.Includes video and computer analysis.

Meet the Instructors

Tony Ruggiero

A native of Birmingham, Tony attended St. Mary’s University (1991-1993) where he earned two varsity letters in golf and was a member of the Heart of Texas All Conference Golf Team. He later transferred to Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where he earned two varsity letters in golf as well as a degree in Public Administration. 

Tony began his teaching career at the Perdido Bay Golf Club in Perdido Florida where he spent seven years. He has also taught at the Hank Johnson School of Golf in Destin, Florida, and at Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club in Santa Rosa Beach Florida. 

His students include players on the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, and  top junior players.  Tony worked with Tom Kite during the Boeing Championship at Sandestin.  For the past three and a half years Tony has taught Bobby Wyatt of Mobile, Alabama.  Bobby was ranked as high as number two in the AJGA Polo Rankings and will continue his college golf career at The University of Alabama.  Tony also currently works with multiple PGA Tour winner Nolan Henke.

Tony is a frequent guest of Making The Turn on the PGA Tour Channel XM146/Sirius 209 and is currently the host of national radio program: The Dewsweepers Golf Instruction Show.

Wayne Flint
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Wayne currently resides in Birmingham where he is the Director of Instruction for the Highland Park Golf Course and Lead Instructor for the Dewsweepers Golf School

A former instructor for the Golf Digest Instruction School Program, Wayne has authored numerous articles for many publications including the Golf Digest Instant Lesson Series, and a cover story for the United States Golf Society Player Magazine. Wayne has also been the head instructor for the Hank Johnson School of Golf at the Sandestin Beach resort in Destin, Florida.

Wayne is a two time PGA Teacher of the Year for the Dixie Section (2002 and 1993), and has been a member of the PGA since 1987.  Wayne has been nominated numerous times for Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers and has been selected as one of Golf Magazine’s Top 400 Teachers in the United States for the year 2001.
